The concluding exhibition Poetic Resistance will present a range of artistic positions that employ poetic strategies in everyday spaces—whether humorous, ironic, or affective. The exhibition will take place both in the event space of Make-up e.V. and in public space, forming the culmination of the two-year program.
Experiences from the urban interventions and insights from the Summer School will directly inform the exhibition’s curatorial concept.
Planned participating artists include Angst Yok (Berlin), Rocco and His Brothers (artist collective, Berlin), Vlad Brateanu (Bucharest/Berlin), Constanza Carvajal (MILM2 Collective, Santiago de Chile/Berlin), and Threads & Tits (artist collective, Berlin).
To ensure sustainable development and increased visibility, the project space relies on targeted networking, strategic collaborations, and innovative mediation formats. Long-term cooperation with local initiatives and international partners strengthens Poetic Resistance as a platform for resistant artistic strategies.
Existing formats such as Eat ’n Critique will be continued and expanded to facilitate ongoing exchange between artists and the neighborhood. We also aim to collaborate with international initiatives to apply for funding for community-oriented art projects.
An expanded digital presence—through documentation, podcasts, and online discussions—will help disseminate the project’s content beyond the local context and engage new audiences. In this way, Poetic Resistance functions not only as a local experimental field but also as an active contributor to broader artistic and political discourses.
